Positive Affirmations for You to Use the Week of November 7th – 13th

Hi friends!

I hope you’ve had a good couple of weeks. The last month has been kind of rough for me, and I took a break from Instagram and blogging. Unfortunately, just over two weeks ago, we had to say goodbye to our beloved family pooch, Thecla. Thecla had been part of the family since I was sixteen, and I’m so grateful to have gotten to emerge into adulthood with my sweet girl. She was so loved and is dearly missed.

The time leading up to and following her passing was extremely difficult, as we knew that she was passing, but we didn’t know when exactly, so my anxiety was on high alert for a few weeks. I also of course was grieving Thecla’s loss following her death, and because of that, I was very overwhelmed and in survival mode. But, I’m starting to see the light and it’s getting a little easier to be alive again.

With that being said, I’m back to blogging and sharing weekly affirmations! Starting today! Yay!

*Most* Sundays, I share the affirmations on here (and on Instagram!) that I will be using for the upcoming work. I share them in the order that I will be using them (1 is Sunday, 2 is Monday, 3 is Tuesday, etc.) and then share them daily on my Instagram story. Of course, I hope that you will use them in whatever way works best for you, whatever that means to you!

I hope you make sure to take some time to rest and take care of yourself today, and I’ll see you next week!

You are worthy of your love and kindness!

  1. I trust in myself.
  2. My well-being is always a priority.
  3. I am going to be okay.
  4. I am growing.
  5. Not everyone will like me, and that’s okay.
  6. I always prioritize self-care.
  7. My worth is not dependent on the appearance or size of my body.

Positive Affirmations for You to Use the Week of August 29th – September 4th.

Hi friends!

I hope that this past week went well for you. I was extremely lucky to begin the week celebrating mine and my sister’s birthdays with my sister (who I got to see for the first time in over a year and a half!) and my mom, but was unlucky to end the week with an ear infection. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I start feeling better soon, because this stuff is not fun.

I’m so excited to share this week’s affirmations with you all! I actually decided that this week, as soon as I post these affirmations, I’ll be taking a little break from Instagram. I try to take a break at least once a month, and this timing just feels right t me. Things are kinda rough, mental health wise, but are slowly going back to where I want them to be, and I think that taking a step back from social media will be very beneficial.

So, even though I won’t be on Instagram, I will be practicing my affirmations every day, and I hope you will too! Every Sunday (well, most Sundays, if we’re being completely honest.), I post the affirmations I will be using in the upcoming week. I share them in the order I’ll be using them (1 is Sunday, 2 is Monday, 3 is Tuesday, etc.), but I encourage you to use them in whatever way works best for you!

I’ll see you all next week with more affirmations, and hopefully this week with some book reviews – I’ve read so much this month and am so behind in book reviews, so hopefully during my social media break, I’ll be able to catch up a bit on content.

Can you believe we only have just over a week left in August?? 2020 went by so slow for me, and now 2021 is just zipping by. I would just like time to move at regular, steady pace, please!

Positive Affirmations for the Week of March 7th-13th

One of the most important part of my daily routine is reciting positive affirmations. I usually do it while doing my skincare, and then write it down a few times while journaling in the morning and at night. As someone who is more likely to think negatively about myself and situations, positive affirmations help me counter these thoughts. So, I decided to start sharing them with you!

Every Saturday, I’ll share the affirmations for the week on here and on my Instagram. I’m also going to try to share the affirmation of the day on my Instagram stories, as well. I am genuinely thrilled to share this practice with you, and hope you’ll join in!

  1. I am more than enough.
  2. I am brilliant, beautiful, and bold.
  3. I’ve made it through tough times before, i can make it through this one too. i am a survivor.
  4. Times are tough, but i will get through them.
  5. I am becoming the best version of myself.
  6. I can get through it.
  7. I will choose myself, even when rejection is hard.

Some Calm in the Storm: Positive Affirmations for Troubling Times

Something that you should know about me is that I thrive on routine. Don’t get me wrong, I like a little spontaneity in my life once in a while, but dealing with mental illness is enough for me sometimes. Because of this, I have a morning and nighttime routine I try to do every day, just to give the day a solid foundation.

One really important part of both my morning and nighttime routines is reciting positive affirmations. I’m prone to ruminating on negative thoughts, and having positive affirmations on hand help me challenge those negative thoughts, and focus on the positive.

Affirmations are also extremely helpful when going through an emotional crisis. Whether it’s a panic attack triggered by brain chemistry or trauma, or coping with a terrorist attack being broadcast on live television, showing yourself compassion and having healthy self-talk will help you go through it and feel what you need to feel. Affirmations are also a form of self care, which is crucial during times like these (link to my self care guide here!)

Since the US is going through collective trauma right now (what with an almost ten month pandemic, a dramatic and crucial presidential election, and now an insurrection) I thought I would share some of my favorite positive affirmations to use during difficult times.

  1. It’s okay to acknowledge that I have a lot on my plate.
  2. My feelings matter.
  3. I can persevere.
  4. Difficult days are not a reflection of me or my value.
  5. I have the ability to cope.
  6. I am releasing self-judgment and embracing self-love.
  7. I’m stronger than I think.
  8. I can get through it.
  9. I love myself enough to push through.
  10. It’s okay to ask for help.
  11. It is okay to just survive right now.
  12. I will not beat myself up for being human.
  13. I am allowed to feel upset or overwhelmed, even if I know this period will pass.
  14. My feelings are allowed to be here.
  15. My feelings are valid.
  16. This feeling will pass.
  17. I will focus on what I can control.
  18. I release negative self talk.
  19. I have the flexibility and grit necessary to cope with a world of uncertainty.
  20. I will live in the present.

I hope you find these affirmations helpful, and that they bring you some peace. And if they don’t, I hope you find something that works for you.
